The 1% of income tax about the use of which taxpayers can decide themselves in accordance with Hungary’s effective tax regulations constitutes by far the most important source of funds for our organisation. For us this means that our ability to pursue our activities depends on our public assessment and we thus have a responsibility towards our supporters who make our work possible on a regular basis.
Our organisation and others dealing with the protection of animals have very limited sources of income, as the operation of shelters, the implementation of educational programmes and other activities related to animal protection are outside the scope of activities of foundations that would be able to provide us with funds. Unfortunately, the donations received as 1% of income tax, however small they may be, are crucial to our budget.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank for donations which we have received over the course of the years. We hope that our supporters will continue to help us, because our suc-cess and the future of our foundation are in their hands.
